New Communion Procedure

This week at church, we tried out a new way of handling communion.

Our communion was distributed in the front of the auditorium by our elders and as you came forward, the elder read your nametag and said, "Christ's body, broken for you, 'Caroline'" etc.

What did you think about the way we handled communion?

Colby Ave Life Group discussed your question and here were some of our comments

1. kind-of reminded me of Catholic Church

2. I would love to have it where you break bread and dip it into a cup

3. I like where you can come down to the front as you feel led to, and that there is not a certain order.

4. I love to have that quiet time to connect with the lord and pray but it was very distracting to me to have a huge line of people, not to mention there were a lot of people talking and it just didn't seem as intimate.

5. I like it because it was my first time at metro and it was nice to have someone say my name it was very personal. I felt welcomed.
